Kai remains silent for a moment, eventually taking her silence as her answer while he himself sighs and pushes off of the railing. "I guess I'm a murderer then, huh? Well I can live with that." He puts his hands in his pockets and begins to walk away, his head tilted down. He pauses for a brief moment to speak again before walking.
"Because I'm still alive."

He closes his eyes as an image of the hooded man flashes through his mind, and then stops for a moment. "Even if I'm not a murderer, I'm still homeless now. I can't return to the Lightning Country. It was my own men who had been on a mission to kill me." 'No doubt ordered by the Raikage. I trusted that lying bastard!'
"... I was just 2 days away from officially becoming the next Raikage too. My 18th birthday was supposed to be my coronation." He responds to that thought with a shrug. "Oh well. I should go do some ambassador stuff now since I'm still in charge of keeping this place from being invaded."

Kai: He looks down at the oddly-materialized card in his hands for a few seconds, then slightly nods in response. "Hm." ~~~~~~~~ Meanwhile, on the side of a building not too far away, a peculiar tiny fly sits on the wall, with its eyes fixated on everyone below. If one were to look closely at the fly's compound eyes, they'd see tiny lenses focusing and zooming in, like a camera. Somewhere far away, a man sits behind a computer screen in a dark room, his appearance masked by the shadows with the only light being from his monitor screen.  : The man puts his gloved hand under his chin and forms what looks like a cross between a smirk and a scowl. "So, the beast is still alive and roaming, I see. I guess that's good for me. There's still a chance to nab it. It's damn well the only one left. I can't miss it!" He slams his fist on his futuristic high-tech lab desk in emphasis. ~~~~~~~~ Kai: Back in Konoha, Kai suddenly lifts his head and whips around, hearing voices growing steadily closer. "Tch." He then turns and dashes off the way he was going without saying another word, leaping up and over a building, disappearing completely. A few seconds later, a group of ninjas dressed in white leap down onto the scene. Man: "He headed this way, I'm sure of it!" Speaks the lead ninja as he catches his breath, then turns to the others that the group have just run into. "Excuse me, did you see someone come by here? A boy with grey hair of two different shades? We're with the medical ward and he was a patient of ours, until he decided to... leave." Man #2: He coughs at that last word. "More like 'busted out', unless you want people to think we let our patients just waltz out the front door." Man: "Right..." |

heres all the screams and thinks kai, she takes off in a dash from the coffie shop she was at and starts jumping on building and sees the men talking and a women looks up and she gives her the shh dont say anything

Rin-*smiles and disappears in a flash after the keaton jumped on his head* here we go
*man with a black cloak watches the events unravel from atop of the roof* well Rin looks like you found trouble *sees the woman running and chuckles* and that must be Lora of the sand alright gramps ill keep my word *man hops off the roof and a slight disturbance in the air happens and he vanishes with a a whisper of a jutsu hanging over the spot he was*

Man: The man sighs and rubs his temples with his fingers. "Great. The Hokage will have my head for this."
Kai: As he's running away, something ahead catches his eye. He stops briefly and peers through an alleyway, gazing between the two buildings to see a hooded figure standing in the street in the distance. Kai's eyes widen immediately. "That's..." Flashbacks of the hooded man flash through his mind, and he automatically assumes it's this man here. Without any further hesitation, he darts in the direction of the man, pulling out two kunai and spreading his arms so that each blade scrapes the side of the alleyway as he runs through it, creating a shrilling sound along with sparks. The man in question immediately takes off, with Kai in chase.

As the man runs away, his cloak flailing behind him, a series of ultra thin and very sharp needles shoots out from under his cloak, firing back towards Kai as he runs right into them. Unable to anticipate the attack due to his angered and urgent state of mind, Kai can do nothing but stop briefly and cross his arms in front of his face as the needles pierce and embed themselves in his arms, chest, and stomach muscles. After a small grunt of pain from the impact, he immediately continues running after the hooded man, while pulling the many needles from his body. Blood trickles out from the countless holes created from the punctures, but if one were to look closely, they would see his new wounds healing themselves and closing up already, causing the bleeding to stop almost instantly. Kai: "Guess I still feel a bit sluggish from before. Alright you bastard." Using the blood that's still on his skin from that last attack, he wipes some up with his fingers and uses it to mark his face above his blue face lines. He performs a single hand sign, causing his physical features to change slightly, yet noticeably; an indicator to those who had before seen it that he'd entered his Phoenix Sage Mode.  With his newfound speed, Kai stops running to kneel slightly, then pushes off with his legs, zooming past the man with a vortex force caused by his momentum. He stops, landing on the side of a building in front of a man, standing on it in a crouching position while eying the man with a fired-up expression, before pushing off the wall and tackling the man, who had been unable to react, and pinning him to the ground. As Kai does this, however, he looks at the man he'd just pinned only to find that there's no under under him, only an empty cloak. A note is attached to the inside of the cloak at the base of the hood. Kai pulls it off and begins reading it. |

Kai: Upon reading the note, and at the mention of Zaka's name, Kai blinks. Briefly, his golden eyes flash a brilliant crimson color instead, making them look as red as blood. He quickly closes his eyes and stands, pocketing the note.
"My protector would need to be stronger than me. I don't need a bodyguard. I came here as Konoha's bodyguard." His acute eagle-like senses take control as he can sense those other ninja still searching for him. "I need to be leaving now." He leaps up, appearing to vanish instantly, while at the same time appearing on top of one of the buildings close by.

Kai: He notices that she is attempting to follow him, rolling his eyes back in front of him. 'Tch. Troublesome girl.' As he reaches the outer wall of the village, he leaps up to it, lightly landing on the edge in a crouch while performing a single hand sign. He leaps off the edge of the wall and appears to fall to the ground a hundred feet below. A roaring torrent is heard before Kai lifts into view again, standing on a powerful jet of water, which had spring from the ground, rocketing him upward. He steps off the jet of water at the same time as another one erupts in front of him, which he steps on and jumps off of, landing on another towering jet of water as the jets of water he'd been standing on before disappear and new ones spout in front of him for him to run across. It almost appears that Kai is running on air, except for the endless spouts of water erupting under him and then disappearing in a long flowing pattern. (The water pattern looks a lot like this, only bigger)  |

*man steps from around the corner behind him and leans on the wall and smiles* what an interesting child but that is for another time *turns towards the village and watches Lora* but i suppose she will follow him
Rin-*still riding the Keaton right behind Lora* this is kinda exciting don't you think?
