All about the Sharingan. For Uchiha RPers.

[Shinku no Yami]

Ok, so I'm not going to go into a long post about the Sharingan and Mangekyō Sharingan themselves. For that, view the Sharingan and Mangekyō Sharingan wiki pages. Or you can view my character's Kekkei Genkai. I took the info from the wiki.

This is for members who RP as an Uchiha, since the Sharingan, and even further, the Mangekyō Sharingan, and even further, the Eien no Mangekyō Sharingan, have lots of techniques. A system has been composed to make it easier for you to figure out or choose those techniques.

First off, here's a list of all the Sharingan Genjutsu that's open to any Uchiha that has a 3-tomoe Sharingan:

Next are the MS Jutsu. Officially, there are only 5. Kakashi's is a bit different from the rest. I'm hoping to expand on this a bit, since I've made my own MS Jutsu for my character. They are based off of gods in Shinto mythology. All the Jutsu are named after a different Shinto god, except for Kakashi's Kamui. It's description insinuates that anyone can learn it. I'm gonna list all of the Shinto gods, and give their status (whether taken or open) and as Jutsu are thought up for them, I'll be linking them to further posts in this thread.

So far, with the addition of my and Blade's own made-up MS Jutsu, not including Kakashi's, there are 17 MS Jutsu. The first list are gonna be single-eye MS techniques. You can pick any two from the list, and assign them to your characters left and right eye respectively. It doesn't matter which eye gets what, but you're limited to two, but there are some exceptions (Like Amaterasu users getting Enton: Kagutsuchi and Ōwatatsumi users also getting Ryūjin) with certain conditions.

The second list will be the final MS Jutsu, like Susano'o. You can only pick one of those for your final two-eye MS Jutsu. So far, 7 exist. As of now, Kotoamatsukami is one as well. It most likely is, since it's not assigned to one eye like the other Jutsu are, and considering how powerful it is. It'll be counted as one for now.

I have ideas for some more MS Jutsu, but there are even more Shinto gods left than that, so if anyone else has ideas for remaining ones after my list, you can send a PM with your own creative ideas. Try not to make them too broken though, though don't think you can't make them hax, because MS Jutsu ARE hax after all, lol.

Also, if your character acquires an Eternal MS, you'll gain the Jutsu of the MS you transplanted as well, if the other MS has any different Jutsu. I'm not sure how often this'll be happening though lol.

Don't worry about coming up with an MS Jutsu AND giving it one of these names. I can pick the most fitting ones since I'm a total nerd when it comes to looking up the background behind the mythology extensively. Some of the available Shinto names I wanna use for final MS Jutsu anyway. Just come up with some Jutsu ideas if you can. If it's a good concept, it can definitely be used, as long as it's original and not too overpowered, by MS Jutsu standards. Basically, nothing that plays God lol.

I'll start making posts for each individual MS Jutsu that exists so far, and link them to the list. That'll make picking which Jutsu you want easier, since you'll be able to find them easier and you can read what each one does. Might take a while, since I'm swamped and exhausted like all hell.

Another note. For now will make it so that any MS users can learn Kamui, just like the databook says. Kamui isn't like the other MS Jutsu that are said to be awakened. Unlike them, it's not based on Shinto mythology. It's based on Ainu mythology.

Also, Shinto deities that have 2 names, like Ryūjin/Ōwatatsumi and Toyotama/Otohime, will come with two different yet similar effects, but will still only count as one MS Jutsu, simply implemented differently.

One last thing. You can't have Kagutsuchi if you don't also have Amaterasu, since Kagutsuchi manipulates the shape of Amaterasu, making it useless otherwise. You can have Kagutsuchi at no cost if you (until we find out otherwise, we'll go with the wikia on this one lol) have both a Lightning and Fire affinity. In other words, Kagutsuchi won't take up an MS Jutsu slot on your character. As of right now, having a Fire and Lightning affinity is the only way to have Enton: Kagutsuchi, but at least that means you still have a free MS Jutsu to pick from

The Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan can only be obtained when someone who possesses the Mangekyō Sharingan implants the Mangekyō of another Uchiha. The patterns of the two Mangekyō fuse together to form one unique pattern. In addition to the techniques their own Mangekyō Sharingan possesses, they also obtain the techniques of the second Mangekyō Sharingan.

The user decrypts a Genjutsu that has been applied onto them and casts back a technique with identical effects onto the opponent. It's a form of illusion reversal, but in order to instantly read through a technique and cast it in return, the Sharingan's power is necessary. As Genjutsu is initially used to confuse the enemy, this technique, which sends it right back to its caster, deals a high amount of mental damage, more than anything else.[/color]

Firstly, this technique requires the use of the Sharingan. The opponent is caught in the illusionary world created by the user, and the victim will be tormented with the sensation of having spikes driven through their limbs, taking away their body's freedom. At the same time, the physical pain accompanying the illusion reveals the greatest use this technique has is primarily for torture.[/color]

Izanagi is named after the Shinto God of Creation and Life. It is a Genjutsu that is cast on the user instead of others and is the most powerful amongst this type of Genjutsu. When activated, the caster removes the boundaries between reality and illusion within their personal space. To a degree this allows the user to control their own state of existence. It is normally only active for the briefest of moments.

This technique is capable of turning injuries and even death inflicted upon the user into mere illusions. Whenever the user receives a fatal injury, he or she automatically fades away as though they were an illusion all along and then returns back to reality; physically real and unscathed. The technique is based on an ability the Sage of the Six Paths had, referred to as "Creation of All Things" (万物創造, Banbutsu Sōzō). The process he used is explained to have initially involved the administration of imagination, and the spiritual energy which forms the basis of Yin chakra to create shape and form from nothingness. Then, through the application of vitality, and the physical energy which forms the basis of Yang chakra, he would breathe life into the prior form. Thus, a technique with the power to turn imagination into reality was born, known as Izanagi.

Izanagi can only be used by those with the genetic traits of the Sage of the Six Paths. The Uchiha, descended from the Sage, are able to perform Izanagi with their Sharingan. In exchange for the brief control of reality that it allows them, the Sharingan with which Izanagi is cast becomes blind. For this reason the Uchiha labelled it a Kinjutsu.

To make full use of Izanagi, users must also have the genetic traits of the Senju, who are also descended from the Sage. This can extend the duration of Izanagi to about 10 minutes, or longer.[/color]

As an added rule, users who posses the Rin'negan will not suffer from the permanent backlashes of Izanagi when using it. To balance this out, though, one of the Rin'negan user's eyes will deactivate and lose its sight for the duration of the technique, sacrificing half the user's sight and Rin'negan powers in order to use Izanagi with no permanent risks, though substantial chakra will still be used for the technique.

Tsukuyomi is named after the Shinto God of the Moon, and is one of the most powerful Genjutsu in existence. It is unique to the Uchiha clan and only those with the Mangekyō Sharingan can perform it. It is said to represent the "Spiritual World and Darkness" (精神界と闇, Seishinkai to Yami), the antipode to Amaterasu, a Ninjutsu of similar power.

Tsukuyomi requires eye contact to be performed. When executed, the technique traps the target in an illusion that is completely controlled by the user. The user is allowed to alter the perception of time with ease within the Genjutsu to make it seem to last for days when in fact it only lasts a few seconds. This allows him or her to torture the target for what seems like days on end, causing mental trauma that will render them unable to fight for an extensive period of time. After Itachi used it on Kakashi, Kisame was surprised that Kakashi was still alive, meaning the trauma is severe enough to cause death. Only Tsunade has been shown capable of curing this psychological damage.

The use of Tsukuyomi typically features a red moon casting a red light throughout the illusion with a cloudy atmosphere, giving the background a blood-red appearance while the victim within the illusion is in depicted in an inverted grey scale.

Such a powerful technique is not without its disadvantages however. Due to the complexity of the illusion and the quickness with which it is executed, an enormous amount of chakra is necessary and an added amount of stress is placed on the casting eye. It was stated that Tsukuyomi can only be broken by a Sharingan user that possesses the same blood(line).[/color]

Amaterasu is named after the Shinto Goddess of the Sun. It is the highest level Fire Release technique, and according to Zetsu, one of the most powerful Ninjutsu in existence. It is said to represent the "Material World and Light" (物質界と光, Busshitsukai to Hikari), the antipode to Tsukuyomi, a Genjutsu of similar power and a fellow Mangekyō Sharingan Dōjutsu.

The jet-black flames of the Amaterasu, said to be the fires from hell that are as hot as the sun, ignite at the focus of the user's vision. Though the flames have been stated to be unavoidable, Amaterasu has been avoided a few times in history; Sasuke Uchiha managed to dodge the flames when Itachi tried focusing on him, though Itachi did not actually want to kill him and managed to hit Sasuke shortly after regardless, and A using his Lightning Release Armour enhanced Body Flicker Technique avoided a short-range Amaterasu launched at him by Sasuke. The determining factors seem to be motivation and skill. The black flames can also be guided by the user's eyes after they are created.

The flames are capable of burning through anything in their path, even smothering regular fire techniques with ease and burning through powerful Bijū. Amaterasu is said to never stop burning; even when whatever is caught by the Amaterasu is completely reduced to ash or destroyed, it can still continue burning for seven days and seven nights. It cannot be extinguished with water or any other normal methods. Nagato was able to deflect the flames from his body using Shinra Tensei. Use of the technique also puts a great deal of strain on the user, and is preceded by a tear stream of blood from the eye casting it.

The user is able to use Amaterasu to quell the flames and put them out. Amaterasu can further be controlled and manipulated with Enton: Kagutsuchi.

In Ainu mythology, Kamui is known as the "Authority of the Gods". Using this ability granted by the Mangekyō Sharingan, the user can create a barrier sending everything within its vicinity to another dimension. He/she can also control the size of the barrier from large enough to suck in an explosion, to as small as a nail. This is significant, since the chakra consumed by this technique is proportional to the mass of the target transported. There is also said to be no way to defend against this technique. However, certain Space-Time Jutsu are able to escape it.

Kamui consumes a large amount of chakra to perform, but with practice and precision is capable of warping away even the smallest and speediest of projectiles. It even appears that the barrier can be guided somewhat, after being created.[/color]

Until stated otherwise, this MS Jutsu can be learned by any MS user, even if they already have 3 MS Jutsu, because the Databook entry states that this Jutsu can be acquired through training, and not by predetermined awakening.

Susano'o is named after the Shinto God of the Storm. It is a third ability granted by the Mangekyō Sharingan after awakening the abilities in both eyes. It creates a gigantic, humanoid being that surrounds the user. As the strongest of the three techniques granted to those that have acquired the Mangekyō Sharingan, it is the user's guardian deity, but at the same time, it consumes the user's life.

For a Sharingan user to activate the Susano'o is a rarity. Like the other techniques granted by the Mangekyō Sharingan, the user's eyes and body are strained while using Susano'o because it consumes a large amount of their chakra. It was described as feeling pain in every cell in the body which only grew from prolonged use. Susano'o is formed through the materialisation of the user's chakra and as such differs in appearance as well as colour between users.

Despite Susano'o's impressive defensive capabilities, the protection it grants its user is not absolute. Even though it envelopes and anchors the user, Susano'o doesn't guard right under the user's feet, making it possible to attack from below. Also, a sufficiently strong blow will still result in damage, especially during the technique's developmental stages. Additionally, it is possible to separate the user from Susano'o, as well as binding and restrict its movement.

Each Susano'o goes through several developmental stages as the user advances their control over it. In its earliest form, users can only manifest some of Susano'o's skeleton. A ribcage is generally produced first which, while providing a good defence, can still be fractured, or even melted. An arm is sometimes connected to this ribcage, which can then be used to interact with the surroundings.

As users gain additional control, musculature and skin begins to appear atop of these bones, which progressively complete the full skeletal structure. It is only when Susano'o's growth is fully matured and thus, the user is completely surrounded, are the vulnerabilities of the skeletal form finally eliminated. However, it should be noted that Susano'o can also appear behind the user, instead of just surrounding them. The user can also change the size of it to fit the current situation. Eventually, Susano'o develops into a complete warrior-like form, where its skin, armor and final arsenal of weapons are manifested in their entirety. At this stage, it can anchor the user to the ground, preventing opponents from forcibly moving them unless they can get through Susano'o's various layers. In its final form, this fully humanoid shape is further surrounded by a secondary layer of armor that causes Susano'o to resemble a Yamabushi Tengu.

Here are some examples of the various versions and weapons Susano'o can sport:


Itachi's Version

Itachi's version is depicted as golden crimson in color, except for its complete form, which is dark-orange. Of all the known Susano'o, Itachi's looks the most humanoid. When seen in its complete form without armor, it has a normal face with what resembles locks of hair framing it. The only oddities that Itachi's Susano'o displayed are an appendage on its chin reminiscent of a Pharaoh's false beard and the traditional two right hands as well as six fingers per hand that all Susano'o have. In its left hand it wields the Yata Mirror as a shield. The mirror is endowed with all nature transformations, allowing it to change its own characteristics depending on the the attack it receives, thus nullifying the attack, and can repel all physical attacks. In its right hand it wields the Sword of Totsuka. The sword is a kind of Sword of Kusanagi also known as the Sakegari Longsword (酒刈太刀, Sakegari no Tachi; Literally meaning "Sake Cutter Longsword"), is sheathed in a sake jar held by a third hand growing from Susano'o's right forearm. It is an ethereal weapon with an enchanted blade capable of sealing anything it pierces.

Victims of the sword are trapped in a Genjutsu "world of drunken dreams" for all eternity. For longer-ranged attacks, it is able to use the powerful Yasaka Magatama, which consists of three chakra tomoe bound together by a single circular chakra thread. Zetsu said that the Totsuka Sword combined with the Yata Mirror essentially makes Itachi's Susano'o invincible, and it has thus been labelled the Tempestuous God of Valor (勇武の荒神, Yūbu no Aragami).

After obtaining Itachi's eyes for his Eternal Mankekyō Sharingan (in this continuity anyway) Sekiryō obtained Itachi's unique Susano'o set as well.


Sasuke's Version

Sasuke's version is violet/purple in color. Once he masters it, it gains a bow that doubles as a weapon and shield. His Susano'o produces chakra arrows, via an orb held by its third hand, which can be fired at such speed that evading them is nearly impossible. It can also use the arrows as a makeshift melee weapon and after developing into its armored form, the orb and arrows become pitch black.

Sasuke's development of Susano'o is marked by intense feelings of hatred; whenever angered by the words or actions of his opponents, Susano'o grows in power. His Susano'o is, accordingly, noted to be much darker in composition compared to Itachi's Susano'o. In both its incomplete and complete forms, it has a more demonic appearance in contrast to Itachi's, which have a more "normal" human-like appearance; possessing horns, a long appendage on its chin and a malevolent grin. In its final form, it also possesses jagged teeth around its hood (unlike Itachi's which feature straight teeth) and magatama earrings.

After Sasuke gains the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, the second layer of armor changes its appearance and it seems to be lighter in color in comparison to its previous forms. The mouth of the armor changes to a beak shape, giving it an even more menacing look. The skin on the right arm and right hand starts peeling and the armor itself becomes more ghastly in appearance. It seems that the arrows are now coated in the flames of Amaterasu as seen when one of them pierced a White Zetsu clone and set him ablaze. Sasuke's final Susano'o form resembles a Karasu Tengu.


Madara's Version

One of the first amongst the Uchiha to awaken the Mangekyō Sharingan, Madara also awoke a Susano'o of his own after acquiring the ability in both of his eyes. Unseen in others' variations, Madara's Susano'o demonstrates two entirely different sides that are conjoined along their spine, each with a distinct pair of arms and face. One of these faces has elongated canine teeth in its upper jaw bracket and a single horn protruding from its forehead, whilst the other has similarly elongated canine teeth in its lower jaw bracket instead, which in turn has two tusks growing from this jaw as well. Having four arms in total is a further disparity, but like all other Susano'o, it has six fingers on each hand instead of five. His Susano'o resembles that of an Asura.

The right hand of each side wields an undulating blade. Madara's Susano'o also appears to be capable of contributing towards some of his techniques, as it was seen forming hand seals when he drew down two meteorites.[/color]

As of now, the weapons and forms of each Susano'o appear to be completely unique, with no two being the same, or having the same items. If someone wants a custom Susano'o form and weapons based on some Japanese legend, I could do some research. The items would be way easier.

Enton: Kagutsuchi is named after the Shinto God of Fire. This technique is used to apply Shape Transformation to the inextinguishable black flames of Amaterasu, turning the flames into a spiked barrier that not only shields the user, but also burns and pierces any opponent that touches the flames. Kotoamatsukami refers to the first 5 gods of Shinto. It is the ultimate Genjutsu originally granted by Shisui Uchiha's Mangekyō Sharingan. The technique itself allows the user to enter the opponent's mind and manipulate them by giving them false experiences, making it seem as if they were doing things of their own free will, and has been shown to be used without the need for eye contact. It is regarded as a Genjutsu of the highest class, due to the victim being entirely unaware that they are being manipulated.

As a testament to its power it was strong enough to even negate Kabuto Yakushi's control over the Edo Tensei Itachi Uchiha, in spite of the former's authority being considered almost absolute. After the technique is used, it requires around a decade before it can be used again, but this period can be drastically reduced through the possession of Hashirama Senju's cells. However, despite the additional stamina granted by Hashirama's cells, it is asserted that this technique still can't be used multiple times in a single day.[/color]

Ōwatatsumi (also known as "Ryūjin") is named after the Shinto God of the Sea, who is a dragon. It's a Mangekyō Sharingan Jutsu that allows the user to slow down and even stop the flow of time in the area where the eye focuses, to a radius of 5 meters. The size of the area affected and the speed in which time in the area comes to a stop depends entirely on how hard the user focuses. The technique causes obvious distortion to the affected area, inverting all color within it. This distortion can be guided to follow the user's line of focus as long as he or she maintains focus.

When its other name, Ryūjin, is invoked, the technique immediately affects the area around the user his or herself, to a radius of 5 meters, forming a sphere around them and stopping time for everything within its range, except for the user. Like with Ōwatsumi, the frozen area has its colors inverted. The duration for this is dependent on how much chakra is forced into the initial activation. Any and everything that enters this space immediately freezes in place, whether they are projectiles, explosive forces, living beings, etc., because the lack of time passage prevents them from moving once they enter the divination sphere. When invoked, a transparent ethereal blue dragon appears to be coiled around the affected area, as if to protect the user with its divine power. As the user moves, the affected area also moves, so that the user is always in the center of the technique at all times during its duration. This makes for an amazingly effective counter move that allows for an easy follow up killing blow before anyone even knows what hit them.[/color]

Uzume, named after the Shinto Goddess of Dawn and Revelry, is a Mangekyō Sharingan Jutsu which affects the focal point of the user's eye. The technique manipulates the gravity at that point, to pull mass away from the center of that point, tearing whatever is in its focus into particle shreds; or increasing the gravity at that point, causing the space, and everything in it, to collapse inward, crushing it into a single point. By using the former ability, one can use this to make doors and pathways in solid walls, or even repel and even tear apart oncoming projectiles.

Another useful way to utilize this skill is to fire an attack, like a Fireball, and use Uzume to pull the flames apart at the last second, creating a more widespread inferno that's even harder to dodge. This can be used on other various projectile attacks to turn them into "shotgun spreads".

This Jutsu's mechanics allows the user to form and disassemble almost any object, much like a miniature version of Chibaku Tensei. This can also be used to form shields of gathered matter, or for example; pull a mass of explosives together, then pull them apart quickly, sending them outward to create widespread destruction. Though it's most useful application is to simple use it on the enemy themselves.

This gravitational effect can be guided to where the user's focal point moves, effectively allowing him or her to split apart and entire army via scanning their eye across it.[/color]

Sōjōbō, named after the Tengu King of Shinto legend, is a powerful Mangekyō Sharingan technique which can only awakened by those who have awakened the two Mangekyō Sharingan Jutsu housed in each of their eyes. Like Susano'o, it is a rarity among Uchiha.

Upon activating it, the user enters somewhat of a Tailed-Beast state which resembles Susano'o to a degree. The user's chakra becomes a dark fiery crimson which visible surrounds them in the appearance of flames, which acts as a shield for the body while providing greatly increased stamina. However, physical changes are also present. The user's skin becomes a dark, almost grey shade, and the sclera of their eyes becomes pitch-black, making their appearance somewhat like that of the Cursed Seal Lv2 state.

Other physical changes include sharpened and elongated nails, able to cut deep scratches in solid rock. The user's hair also becomes much longer and wilder, while turning white in color. A pair of wings also sprouts from the user's back, resembling Sasuke's CS2 wings. The nose is also slightly more elongated and pointed. These physical changes cause the user to uncannily resemble a Yamabunshi (also known as "Konoha") Tengu; more specifically Sōjōbō no Uchiwa - King of Tengu.

As stated before, using this technique grants one greatly increased stamina, as well as the user's chakra acting as a natural shield that is capable of resisting powerful attacks. User's are also granted enhanced abilities that mimic those of a Tengu, such as increased speed and strength. One's speed could become fast enough to give the Sharingan trouble to follow, and the strength is capable of pulling trees out of their roots and even forming enormous craters with a single punch.

Aside from the physical speed, this form allows the user to literally teleport short distances as well, about 10-15 meters from their location upon use. The wings also allow them to fly with the same physical speed. Using their eyes, the user is also capable of invading the mind of his or her opponent, for mental attacks or to read thoughts and strategies. This can also be used to use a unique ability this form grants. The user is capable of cancelling an opponent's technique by focusing their eyes on the opponent. Doing so requires chakra, however; about 75% of the amount of chakra required to preform the Jutsu that was cancelled.

Since this technique is like the Tailed-Beast forms and Susano'o in nature, using it for extended periods of time is harmful to the user, though made less harmful if they possess an Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. This acts as a double-edged sword against the opponent, however, as the chakra surrounding and coursing through the user is highly poisonous to everyone and everything else, much like the Four-Tailed Kyūbi form's chakra. Merely touching the chakra will cause severe burns almost instantly, and having any enter the body is fatal, which makes being scratched by the sharpened nails of this technique's user highly dangerous. Trying to absorb the user's chakra, such as with the Rin'negan's Preta Path ability will have a similar nasty effect.

The chakra surrounding the user is also capable of being manipulated to an extent, such as being able to be formed into swords in the user's hands. Since the swords are also made of the same poisonous chakra, being cut by them is almost certain to be fatal. Taking the chakra Shape Manipulation a step further, the user is capable of forming the chakra into a sphere in their hands, exactly like that of a Tailed-Beast Ball (Bijūdama), called a Tengudama (Heavenly Dog Ball), and blasted to cause extreme damage. This is made possible due to the user's increased chakra control granted by their altered physical form. The blast is easily capable of rivaling the same blast use by the Bijū.[/color]

Jurōjin is named after one of the 7 Lucky Gods in Shinto myth; the God of Longevity. It is a third technique to awaken in one's Mangekyō Sharingan, only after awakening the first two housed in each eye.

Upon activation, a barrier of violate chakra forms around the user, much like Jiraiya's own detection barrier, and extends to cover an area 8 meters in radius from the user on all sides. While the user is surrounded by this chakra, their body goes through a rapid healing and regeneration process that rivals Tsunade's own secret regeneration technique. Any injuries that the user sustains, as long as they don't kill instantly, are healed in a matter of seconds. This can even be used to regrow lost limbs. The regeneration is also akin to Wolverine's (X-Men) healing abilities; not only able to regenerate destroyed tissue and lost limbs, but also healing the body from poison and various other toxins, making them immune to even Sasori's brand of poison. As stated before, the only way to get around this is to kill the user instantly, or continue dealing heavy damage at a rapid rate even faster than the technique can heal the user.

This technique works by drawing in the energy around it and converting it into the same chakra used for Medical Jutsu. The chakra used though is on a whole different level from normal Medical Jutsu.

This also barrier acts much like the barrier of chakra that the Hyūga can constantly expel from their body. As such, it's able to alter the speed and even the trajectory of ranged attacks that enters the field, potentially allowing attacks to either miss, or slowing them down to a degree that the attack's damage is greatly reduced on impact.

This has a different effect on heavily chakra-based attacks. Since the barrier is made of chakra, any chakra-based attack that enters it is able to be broken down to a degree, depending on the attack's power. The chakra is absorbed from the attack and added to the barrier to further increase the user's healing and regeneration rate. Attacks won't be broken down completely, but on top of being used to heal the user, it also weakens the attacks to a noticeable degree. A powerful Katon would do no more than give a first degree burn, coupled with a sharp stinging pain, before being healed by the technique, as opposed to suffering serious 3rd degree burns or being completely reduced to ash.

This barrier can also work in the opposite way. Attacks that enter the field can be drawn straight to the MS user. This can be used to divert attacks from allies, allowing the MS user to take the attack and then heal from it, while their allies remain unharmed.

A final property of this technique is probably the most fearful. If an opponent is within this technique's range, within the barrier, the user is able to link themselves to them, much like Hidan could in his seal. If the user should sustain damage while an opponent is within range of the barrier, 80%-100% of that damage can be shared with the opponent. While the MS user will heal, though, the opponent will not. This can be used on anyone within the barrier's range, able to affect multiple opponents.

This technique is not without risks, however. As it constantly uses the user's own chakra to create the field barrier, it drain's the user's chakra at a rapid rate. The same negative effects that exist with Susano'o and Sōjōbō apply to this as well, making prolonged use of the technique harmful to the user.[/color]

Sukuna is named after the Shinto God of Medicine and Rain. By focusing the eye on an individual, the MS user is able to envelop them in a field of violet-colored chakra that completely surrounds them.

Once inside the chakra field, any injury the target has sustained, whether new or old, begins healing at a rapid rate, rivaling Tsunade's own Genesis Rebirth technique. Cuts, burns, lost limbs, anything can be healed or regenerated in the chakra created by the technique. Even severe poisons can be neutralized and the damage reversed. The field of chakra can be widened to heal multiple targets at once. It is considered the ultimate Medical Jutsu.

The only limitation of this technique is the fact that while it can completely revitalize and heal someone to a perfect state, even if they are a second from death, it cannot do anything for those who are already dead, even if they have only been dead for a nanosecond. The technique also uses up considerable chakra, even more so when used on multiple targets.

One must also be wary of his or her surroundings when using this technique. Since the technique doesn't discriminate, it will even heal an enemy if they manage to get within the field of chakra. Even a second is enough time for this technique to regenerate organs or lost limbs.[/color]

Tenjin is named after the Shinto God of Scholarship. Like Tsukuyomi, it is one of the most powerful Genjutsu in existence.

First, eye-contact is needed to initiate the technique. Once that condition is met, the user is able to forcibly enter the mind of the opponent. The Genjutsu allows the user to remove all dark, evil, and otherwise impure thoughts and desires from the affected target, purifying them and even capable of turning enemies into allies. This technique can be used to affect any sentient being with a moral compass, including even Bijū, such as the Kyūbi.

Because of the way this technique works, it cannot be wielded effectively by those who are not pure of heart, as their opponent will most likely be one with pure intentions trying to stop them, rendering the technique useless as it will have little to no effect on them.

Because it is a Genjutsu, it can be resisted somewhat by those with the necessary capability, but the sheer power of the Genjutsu makes it difficult, even for those who also possess the Mangekyō Sharingan. Furthermore, the technique can be used without the opponent knowing it's being used on them, so they are unlikely to try and fight it. The effects of the technique are not permanent, but are capable of keeping dark and sinister thoughts from the one affected for up to several years. Though once that time is up, the target may no longer have any desires for such evil thoughts, as they would have been used to living without them for such a long period.

In some ways, this technique is akin to a small-scale version of Madara's Mugen Tsukuyomi.[/color]

Hachiman is named after the Shinto God of War. It is a Fire Release alchemical technique of the highest caliber.

By focusing their eye on the intended location, the user is able to increase and compress the oxygen levels at that spot. The user's eye then channels a spark of the same black flames that Amaterasu uses to that spot, resulting in a powerful black explosion of intense heat, vaporizing everything within range in a flash. The explosion's size can be increased or decreased depending on the amount of chakra used to increase the oxygen pressure to be ignited in the vicinity.

This technique works exactly in the same way that Roy Mustang's Fire Alchemy works. This is unlike Roy's technique, however, where he uses alchemy to increase the oxygen pressure, and then snaps his fingers (with special gloves) to create sparks to ignite the oxygen and cause an explosion, because this makes Roy's technique useless in the rain, where his gloves cannot create sparks. Hachiman uses the same nature of fire that Amaterasu is comprised of, which is unaffected by water, making this technique viable in almost any situation.

This technique can even use water as a medium for the explosion. Since water is composed of two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen, which are both highly explosive elements separately, this technique is able to break down the water molecules into their original hydrogen and oxygen composition, and use them as fuel for the explosion.

The user must exercise caution, however, because the explosion this technique creates does not discriminate, and will harm the user if they are caught inside of it. Because of this, and because the explosion is created at a short range, even though the size and intensity of the explosion created is only limited by the amount of chakra used to increase the oxygen levels in direct proportion and compress it, the explosion cannot be made too large, or the user will unfailingly kill themselves as well. It's meant for making small human-scale explosions, and possibly mid-summon-sized. The power and intensity of the explosion eliminates the need to make it large in any case.

This technique can also be used to create slightly more spread out black flares of less intense heat, by simply making the oxygen in the vicinity less compact, or not compressing at all in the first place.[/color]

Bishamonten is named after the Shinto God of Wisdom and Intelligence. It casts a very unique Genjutsu around the user that is truly frightening.

This Genjutsu isn't frightening because of its power. In fact, it has the same casting power as any normal Sharingan Genjutsu and acts just like one too, but that's not where the devastation lies. Any damage the opponent suffers in the illusion, they suffer in reality as well, including death.

The Genjutsu acts like a normal type of Genjutsu that creates a field around the user of varying size. Once within the field, the opponent experiences a transition from reality to illusion that is entirely seamless, much like Itachi's usual style of Genjutsu, so it is extremely unlikely that the opponent will even know they've been caught in the Genjutsu, unless they possess the Sharingan or other abilities that allow them to do so.

The field is also able to catch multiple opponents. Anyone who steps within range of the field will be brought into the illusion as well. This is done to protect the user as well, since both the user and the opponent(s) consciousness will be within the illusion at the same time, leaving them more vulnerable to attacks in reality.

Like this particular brand of Genjutsu, events transpire in the illusion as they normally would occur in reality (such as with Sasuke's final fight with Itachi or Itachi vs Deidara), making it further less likely for the opponent to realize they've been caught. Just like with this type of Genjutsu, if the user is hurt or "killed" in the illusion, they do not die, while the opponent on the other hand retains all illusionary damage they sustain, suffering the same damage in reality. This makes it essentially like an Izanagi that one casts on the opponent instead of themselves, though slightly different.

As this Genjutsu is not particularly powerful like Tsukuyomi or Kotoamatsukami, it can be broken with more ease, but this also makes the Jutsu less costly chakra-wise. The amount of chakra used depends solely on how large the user wishes to make the field (up to 10 meters in radius) and how long they keep the field up (as maintaining it constantly will constantly take chakra). The drain to keep the field up is about as minimal as the drain to keep the Sharingan active at all times, and the user may choose to let the field down once the opponent is already caught, or keep it up in case new opponents should arrive or attack.

Another advantage this technique has over Izanagi is that it does not cost the user his/her eye-sight after use, and the Genjutsu is able to last indefinitely, until it is either cancelled by the user or the opponent, or if the opponent is killed. This is unlike Izanagi, which can only last from "the briefest of moments" to up to 10 minutes at a time before having to be reused, and costing large amounts of chakra for each use. This is especially deadly if wielded by proficient Genjutsu users.

If one is caught in this technique, survival lies solely on their ability to break the Genjutsu, as they will be unable to do anything otherwise. No matter how good of a fighter they are, since the illusionary version of the caster cannot be killed, no matter how many times they are "killed" in the illusion, they will keep coming back, while the opponent will be very capable of dying the entire time. The Genjutsu creates a world where the advantage is held completely by the user.[/color]

Raijin is named after the Shinto God of Lightning. It is a very powerful and versatile Jutsu in which the user summons an otherworldly crimson lightning which is said to completely paralyze for 3 days and 3 nights. The lightning may be used to augment the user's own capabilities in the form of Nintaijutsu, or to be used as a Ninjutsu to attack the opponent directly.

By using the lightning to augment his or her speed, the user is able to perform a Flash Step, allowing the user to move faster than the speed of lightning in short consecutive bursts. This means that the user is even able to move faster than Kirin, which is practically undodgable due to being able to strike in 1/1000th of a second, allowing them to actually dodge it.

The movement is so fast that the user appears to teleport and vanish completely, even to a Sharingan eye. Upon using it, the user appears to simply vanish in a flash of crimson electricity, reappearing at their intended destination less than a second later. The user is even able to execute attacks while in the middle of performing a Flash Step, to make them impossible to perceive and nearly impossible to dodge. The sharp increase in speed also greatly increases the kinetic energy and force of these attacks. To the opponent who is observing it, the user simply vanishes in a red flash, and the next thing they know in this world is the feeling of a very deep and fatal cut through their torso from a sword wielded by their opponent who is now behind them, all in the span of less than a half a second.

Aside from being able to move at the speed of lightning, the user is even able to use this technique to turn into a stream of crimson lightning itself. This works much in the same way as the Flash Step, but as the user is also a bolt of pure lightning, they are able to charge straight through the enemy to cause massive internal damage, severe burns, and even sever and pierce body parts. With enough control, the user is even able to string themselves through multiple opponents as long as they are relatively close to each other (about 3 meters or closer).

Attacking an opponent during these bursts of lightning speed is characterized by a bolt of lightning striking the opponent from above as the attack connects, to further emphasize the speed. This is performed with precision timing and control, as the user does this by summoning the lightning from the sky as they make contact with the opponent, to further increase the overall damage they cause.

This is not limited to just linear movement, however, as the user is also able to turn into this crimson lightning to generate a widespread electrical field to completely paralyze anyone within the shock's range. The paralysis is said to last for up to 3 days without fading even slightly.

This technique also has a function that works in the same way as Amaterasu, where the user focuses their eye on the opponent, summoning a bolt of crimson lightning from the sky to strike them with greater speed than Kirin. The lightning is powerful enough to pierce through nearly anything. Since it is the highest level Lightning Release technique that uses a unique otherworldly lightning, it is not stopped or even affected slightly by Wind Release techniques.

Using this technique for long periods also posses the same risks to the user that Susano'o or Sōjōbō does.[/color]
