rach with a name and personality...each with pride, but the right eye contact and touch they will bend to one's will.. they may not like it...now imagine where one doesn't have to force the service of them....where they are giving the option to do it.. more likely than not they will say no, but atleast the attempt to ask instead of take may soften their views

Possibly we just haven't felt their disturbance in a long time (blade actually did what he was talking about and asked all the bijuu to make him their host and they all accepted)
