I just completed a challenge I gave myself on this game. A very hard one at that. First I need to explain some elements about this game, mainly Support, Awakenings, and Handicap.
SUPPORT
They are two extra characters that help you out in a fight during team matches. One is summoned with L1, and the other with R1. They can only be summoned when their individual Support Gauge is full, but it fills fast. There are 3 types: Guard, Attack, and Balance. These effect how they function when your Team Gauge is at a certain level, which increases as you use your support, so if you do not use your support, the Team Gauge will not increase and your support will do nothing.
Guard supports will automatically jump in front of you when you charge chakra, to block for you.
Attack supports will automatically jump in and attack for you.
Balance supports will push you out of the way when you are hit by your opponent's Ultimate Jutsu, and get hit by it instead.
Finally, when the Team Gauge is full, you can use a Team Ultimate Jutsu, which does a ton of damage.
AWAKENINGS
Awakenings make you a hell of a lot more powerful, and you become immune to your opponent's Ultimate Jutsu and their throws. Your attack power also soars through the roof and you get a crap ton of abilities (Tobi can teleport attack, Itachi can fire Amaterasu, etc.) and your defense increases too. You can only do them when your HP hits a certain point.
Here's a vid to show how much of a boost Awakenings give you.
HANDICAP
Handicap is what it is. When you lower a character's handicap, you raise the opponent's. The higher it is, the more damage you do and the more defense you have. The lower it is, the less damage you do and the less defense you have. One combo will do as much to you as an Ultimate Jutsu if your handicap is at its lowest, and one Ultimate Jutsu will do about 75% damage.
Here's a vid to give a visual explanation on Team Support, Team Ultimate Jutsu, and Awakenings. Tobi is the one who Awakens. (He's the easiest CPU to beat lol)
Ok. With all that explained, here's the challenge I issued for myself.
Conditions:
1. Cannot use Support
2. Handicap at its lowest
3. Cannot Awaken
I won with 52% HP and with an S-Rank score ;D
